The ‘traveller from an antique land’ refers to Greek historian Diodorus Siculus, who wrote in his Bibliotheca historica, describing a massive Egyptian statue: “King of Kings Ozymandias am I. If any want to know how great I am and where I lie, let him outdo me in my work.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have been marveling at these statues for thousands of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
