The Incredible Precision Stone Jars, and Other Mysteries of Saqqara!

The ancient necropolis of Saqqara is home to many unsolved mysteries. Over 40,000 astonishing stone vases, some made from the hardest forms of igneous rock were discovered here in tunnels and galleries deep beneath the Step Pyramid. These show undeniable signs of advanced engineering, precision, and symmetry, worked into very difficult material like granite, diorite, schist, and porphyry.

Join me for part 4 of my investigation into the evidence for ancient high technology, as we explore just why these jars are so amazing and what they mean for the story of human civilization, as well as exploring other unsolved mysteries at Saqqara.

  1. The Penn museum in Philadelphia has an 11 ton red granite sphinx of ramses ||. The web site is http://www.Pen.museum.com for pictures if you want to see what it looks like. I work close by and am going to check it out. The pictures alone show the poor etching on the statue. You and Brian Forster got me going down this rabbit hole, thanks lol.

  2. Love The work that you do. I have a suggestion regarding the debate about precision. Christopher Dunn as you have documented has his 4 criteria to individuals who claim that this precision work is created from the tools found from ancient Egypt. No one has taken that challenge on as far as I know, I would actually Challenge any individual to use modern day machine technology that we have and re- create one exact box with the exact same dimensions as found in the Serapeum . Film the work and document the entire process. It is my belief that once skeptics actually see how hard it is for us using todays Modern technology to replicate the precision and detail, it would clearly settle any argument about copper chisels and round pounding stones.

    1. Thanks for the note Zane. I fully agree that no one has taken on the 4 step challenge as outlined by Chris Dunn. Lots of people have claimed victory however, usually because they ignore the most difficult aspects of the ancient work, or they are deliberately ignoring features of the ancient work, or they just haven’t analyzed the ancient work. Strawman logical fallacies played out in the stone.

      Cheers

  3. I have come across one interesting comment about the schist disc that makes some sense -namely that it is part of a rope making machine . You can google such things and see similar devices for spacing out individual pre spun ‘filaments’ that are then combined into a rope by rotating the individual strands at one end being fed through the three ‘gapped’ device to combine in a finished rope (they have to have reversed handedness to wrap tightly I think ) I recall a documentary about the Royal Navy rope making factory years ago that showed the concept in action. CSIRO developed a unique method of making spun thread in the 70s that reversed the wrap direction alternately that should be findable also. The Egyptians needed a lot of rope maybe the Schist disc was part of that production. regards.

  4. Hello Ben, I have been searching for a YouTube post where they discussed an untouched tomb excavated in the 1960’s and found a stone jar of the exact type found beneath Saqqara. This excavation was rushed due to the Aswan Dam being built but they carbon dated the remains to around 14.000 years ago. If you can find the info it would be another arrow in your informational quiver. Love your podcasts, keep up the great work.
